All the oak barns we design are structured with high vaulted ceilings, creating a spacious feel that allows natural light to successfully flow through your wooden barn building. And, if you choose to add a mezzanine floor, your garden barn is transformed into a multifunctional space. This allows the different levels of your oak frame garden barn to serve different purposes that best suit your individual requirements.

Iain and Karen wanted to branch into the UK staycation market and increase interest in Scotland as a top destination for British, as well as overseas, holidaymakers. They planned to obtain planning permission for a selection of unique cabins and lodges on the edge of a forest with views over the beautiful River Ayr.

They opted to include a luxury oak framed two-bedroom lodge at the centre of the resort offering character and luxury.

An oak frame pool house in West Sussex

Having previously owned a 15th century timber framed property, in 2013, Mark and Clare Shenton purchased their dream home which is tucked away in a rural West Sussex village, neighbouring the UK’s oldest working windmill.

“When we bought the house, there was a pool building in situ which was in need of renovation,” explains Mark. “So, having met with Darren Blackwell from Oakland Vale, in the summer of 2016 we submitted our first planning application which was approved in August 2016.”
