Senior Building Regulations Technician

We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Building Regulations Technician. With us, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping distinctive homes and structures, blending regulatory expertise with creative problem-solving.

The Role:

•  Drawing and Applications: You’ll confidently create and submit Building Regulations applications, ensuring compliance with Approved Documents.
•  Regulatory Knowledge: A strong understanding of Building Regulations is required, particularly for residential projects, with some commercial experience being beneficial.
•  Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential. Familiarity with SketchUp and Vectorworks is a bonus.
•  Problem Solving: Respond effectively to plan checks, site queries, and collaborate with local authorities to ensure approvals.
• Specialist Knowledge: Experience with oak framing is helpful, though training can be provided.

What You Bring:

• A minimum of 5 years' practical experience working in a Building Regulations or architectural technician role.
•  MCIAT qualification or equivalent.
• Excellent technical skills, with the ability to produce high-quality, compliant drawings.
• Strong communication and client-facing abilities to liaise confidently with clients, consultants, and authorities.
• A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines efficiently.
